GRENADA SAILING WEEK 2018

TRAILERS & VIDEOS

Monday, 29 January - Saturday, 3 February 2018

Location:  Grenada  (Caribbean)

At a time when many Caribbean regattas are reporting lower entry numbers, the GSW Board is proud that in its first 3 years the Island Water World Grenada Sailing Week has been growing steadily and strengthening its place on the Caribbean racing circuit. The introduction of the Classic Class in 2014 and the one design J24 Class in 2015, have been excellent additions to the keen racing/cruising class mix and ongoing feedback from our competitors, both new and old, is giving the organizing committee a better feel for what is needed both on the water and on shore.

Race type: Inshore and Offshore Long Distance Race

Host Club: Prickly Bay Marina

Welcome

At a time when many Caribbean regattas are reporting lower entry numbers, the GSW Board is proud that in its first 3 years the Island Water World Grenada Sailing Week has been growing steadily and strengthening its place on the Caribbean racing circuit. The introduction of the Classic Class in 2014 and the one design J24 Class in 2015, have been excellent additions to the keen racing/cruising class mix and ongoing feedback from our competitors, both new and old, is giving the organizing committee a better feel for what is needed both on the water and on shore.

So we invite you to join this upbeat, developing, increasingly competitive sail week, which also offers great fun with a variety of entertainment and an extremely warm Grenadian welcome. Small enough to make meeting with friends and sailing colleagues easy at the variety of daily after race activities, but big enough to challenge serious skippers and crews, this regatta provides a great start to the year’s racing season.

Grenada Yacht Club in St George’s, Secret Harbour Marina inside Mt Hartman Bay and Prickly Bay Marina are the host venues for our 2016 edition, giving participants a taste of Grenada’s beautiful bays and marine services. Race courses are set off the calmer West Coast and the challenging current-filled South Coast, with a variety of conditions to test racing performance. Register and pay Online by 30 November 2015 to benefit from the low early registration fee.
