Message From The Commodore

On behalf of the Flag Officers and Governors of the St. Thomas Yacht Club, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the St. Thomas International Regatta or STIR. STIR 2015 is now a fond memory and what a great event it was!

Our sights are now focused on STIR 2016 and plans are underway to make STIR 2016 even better. In that regard we have brought on Chuck Pessler as St. Thomas International Regatta Co-Director to work with our seasoned professional and Co-Director Bill Canfield. Bill and Chuck make for a great management team with considerable expertise, lots of ideas and energy to bring you a memorable event on land and sea.

We are also pleased to announce that Mr. Greer Scholes has been promoted to our new Club Manager. Greer also brings years of experience managing regattas and sailing events of all varieties. This threesome will be going the extra league to ensure everyone has a great time enjoying our beautiful islands, pristine waters and warm hospitality.

We are also thrilled that our many Sponsors and Supporters are continuing to be part of the growth of the St. Thomas International  Regatta. And very special thanks to our 60 or so volunteers whose contributions over the years have made all the St. Thomas Yacht Club Regattas possible.

We’re on the lay line for another great event.  Please do contact us if you have any questions and let us know how we can help in any way with logistics, the racers and crew, family and friends.

Sincerely yours,

JP Montegut, Commodore
St. Thomas Yacht Club
