SAILING YACHT KINGS LEGEND FOR CHARTER

 

Sailing Yacht KINGS LEGEND, well-known in the sailing and racing circuits of  Europe, New Zealand and Australia, is a unique, immaculately maintained, classic Swan 65, considered the Rolls Royce of sailing yachts

Skipper Gijs van Liebergen’s specialty is to train non-experienced crew into a strong  racing team.  A racing team can number up to 12 guests, with most guests sleeping and eating ashore and a maximum of four guests sleeping on board. Additional race crew is hired for the duration of the charter and charter guests will be actively participating in exciting sailing yacht races of the Asian Yachting circuit. Regatta charter rate  is EUR 22,000 per week (dinner and accommodation ashore).

Gijs van Liebergen

 

Gijs van Liebergen, skipper of King’s Legend, is a sailor at heart and soul. At six years old, he was often to be found on his father’s sailboat and at the age of fourteen, he made his first sail crossing from Holland to England. His dream to buy and navigate a sailing yacht became reality in 1999, when, on the first of May he bought King’s Legend. The year that followed was used to bring the boat back into prime condition and together with Femke Lobach he made a successful company out of King’s Legend.

Gijs holds his Yacht master Certificate and also attended the School of Navigation in Enkhuizen.

 

Femke Lobach

Femke Lobach, MBA, successfully built up the King’s Legend charter business. She has an intuitive organisational talent and also runs her own trainer/coach agency. King’s Legend gave her the opportunity to combine her business talent with her passion for sailing.

King’s Legend has a fixed group of enthusiastic and experienced crew for regattas and cruises.

 

Racing:

King’s Legend and her crew have raced numerous regattas in the Caribbean and in Europe. You are more than welcome to join us. There is a task for everyone: grinding, piano, steering. After a day of hard ‘work’ you can enjoy a few leisure drinks on deck or at some of the notorious regatta parties.

Our specialty is to quickly create a sportive sailing team even if you don’t have much experience. After two days of training you will work together as a team and better your results every race! We will join a few regattas in Asia, so keep an eye on our program for the latest regatta news.

A day on board with us is a day of relaxed sailing meanwhile enjoying the surroundings. Our on-board catering is exclusive and will be arranged by local top chefs.

The very exclusive regatta circuit is a terrific surrounding to receive your daily or weekly company guests. Working together for that same goal: getting past that finish line!

And of course we will arrange everything for you and your guests from the moment you leave your house.
